Andy and I worked together for about six months, although short, it was obvious from the very start that Andy was an experienced and knowledgeable engineer who could be trusted with whatever task was thrown at him. Andy was one of those engineers that “just got it”, rolled his sleeves up and got on with things - completing tasks to his high standards.
It’s important to note that Andy enjoys challenges, he understands that things do not simply change overnight, who can see the start of the journey and the path to end goal - and in doing so, he is able to to lead effectively, identifying risks and issues, and communicates clearly his ideas to his peers to gain support and build rapport both within the team and the larger community of engineers.
As a result of his strong technical foundations, Andy was and is not afraid to step out of his comfort zone either, happy and eager to learn new things regardless of whether it was a new tool, application, programming language or framework, often quickly establishing a sufficient understanding to lead and coach others.
In summary, Andy is one of those rare and gifted engineers that every team needs, who can literally do everything - and contribute.

Andy has led a range of different projects for us - from IT, networking, web design and hosting, to project management and the design of our office.

As an architect at West Port, I worked with Andy on the Pimlico project in 2017-18, for which he was project manager.
Working with Andy was a great experience and he had a collaborative and open approach, able to communicate effectively on all aspects of the design and construction of the project.
The flow of information was smooth and he managed a complex project in an efficient manner. It was his ability to problem solve which is what we appreciated.
The end result was excellent and the clients were very happy with the finished product. It was a pleasure working with him and we hope to work together on future projects.
For the past 20 years I had a special professional association with Andy. I recall the first time I met him in Bucharest when I was invited to an international conference organised by a famous colleague of mine. It transpired that Andy had contributed to all the IT and web design work. He was the main part in organising such a large-scale meeting. I was impressed by the quality of material produced.
Few years later I invited him in Cambridge to discuss organising my private practice and to run our hospital (CPH). He would be in charge of the IT systems and websites but and also responsible for running masterclass events with live video streaming and lecture presentations.
I am glad to say he was involved in every aspect. For many years he performed his duties with perfection which allowed me to concentrate on my professional commitments. In fact, he went from strength to strength, so I was very pleased.
I found that Andy is very keen to learn and improve his craft. He has an artistic flare and vision which showed in his designs for the web, advertising or slide presentations which were very well received. I am sure he was an integral part of my professional success and amazing career.
On a personal note, Andy is always polite and honest, approachable and reasonable. He is of good character, easy to get on with, respected by his colleagues and admired by his clients. Andy is also a problem solver who will find a solution to any problem, computer related or not.
